Instructions for RAINSTART
RAINSTART is the main menu used to access all of the RAIN software. It represents the interface by which a user may open RAINDIGITIZER, RAINPLOT, and RAINSHARE. Click the RAINSTART icon to launch the RAIN software.
Clicking the icon will open the following start up screen.
To launch the RAINDIGITIZER, RAINPLOT, or RAINSHARE program, click the corresponding button. To add or edit users of the RAINDIGITIZER and RAINSHARE programs - both of which require passwords - click the 'Add Users' button. The following screen will appear. Enter a valid User Name and corresponding Password (or use the "Default Administrator" user name and a password of 1234). Click 'Login'.
The following screen will open. Add or edit the users and passwords as needed. Note that the program is set up to initially allow a user called "Default Administrator" to log in with a password of 1234. Your system administrator can add users and set specific access levels based on a user's responsibilities and duties.
The access levels are: 1) Administrative (access to all areas of all software, including ability to add users, set passwords, and add and edit databases); 3) Database Operator (ability and access to add and edit databases); and 10) Digitizer Operator (ability and access to digitize strip charts and save the resulting ascii files to the hard drive). Once the users are added, click 'Return to the Main Menu' to continue. Go to the main User's Manual page. |
